Acholi artist from Nwoya district beaten by his clan leaders for using abusive words in his song.

 A Koch Goma Town Council based artist popularly known by his stage name as "Bongoman Accelam" has been summoned and caned by his clan leaders for using  abusive words in his song in Northern Uganda, Acholi sub-region in particular.The song is titled "Oyuk Yer".

Bongoman Accelam, is an Acholi artist from Nwoya District, Northern Uganda who was caned for his abusive song. The upcoming singer Bongoman Accelam faced the most difficult time in his life from his clan disciplinary committee during a Saturday meeting.

The Clan disciplinary committee in Acholi always discipline those youths who are leaving reckless life but for Bongoman Accelam's case was different, he was disciplined over his song titled " Ki yuk yee "or "Oyuk" , a word many translate as " sexual intercourse" or "enjoy having sex". 

In the song, Bongoman Accelam encourages youths to have more intercourse to increase the population in Northern Uganda.

According to Ocaya, a local resident in Nwoya district said Singer Bongoman Accelam was picked from Koch koma Town Council by the clan youths' disciplinary committee and taken to Anaka where he hails from.

Ocaya also added that the Accelam's clan leaders claimed the 'Ki yuk yee' song is biased.

The Song is slowly gaining popularity most in Gulu City and Nwoya district.
