A Gulu city based artist is asking for help especially. Bledy Miles made this request to anyone who can sponsor his music videos via his official TikTok account.
Bledy Miles Commander has relieved himself as Ngwiny dudi, a song by Tabu Bizzy Body suggest that, "when you need help, please ask, and when you want to enter into a house , please knock and it will be opened for you.
The song calls upon people to say their problems so that they help them and it forbids beating around the bush, be straight to the point.
If your problem is money, when you say it out, people can help you get a job or give you a gig.
Similarly, this is something happening in Northern Uganda music industry, artists looks like living expensive and happy life yet they are too broke and can't afford the payment of their music audios and video shoot. Male artists solicit for financial help from sugar - mummies whereas female artists go for sugar daddies and male politicians in Acholi sub-region.
Music is business and it requires a lot of investments like enough money for quality audio production, buying songs from writers, hiring instrumentalists (adungu , rigi - rigi & nanga), paying for a collabo with big artists, dressings and lastly shooting of music videos as Bledy Miles requested in his TikTok video.
Bledy Miles Commander came to limelight with his hit sing titled"yot ataa" in 2020 during the COVID-19 period where people where in lockdown.
He has composed alot of songs during his few years in the music industry, like cente cup, kigwerea, Jami pa group and others.
Calling for support, anyone who can pay for his music video shoot is not a crime since both parties can benefit from this sponsorship deal.
