A 21-year-old man, a suspected cholera patient from Agoro Sub-county in Lamwo District has been isolated at the Kitgum Government Hospital facility. The victim possess all the signs and symptoms which killed people massively in 2006 in Acholi sub-region.
Cholera is a deadly disease linked to limited access to safe water, basic sanitation facilities and poor hygiene practices.
Signs and Symptoms of Cholera include the following,
-Watery diarrhea, sometimes described as "rice-water stools"
-Vomiting.
-Leg cramps.
-Restlessness or irritability.
The Ministry of Health is set to release the pending results after confirmation of the diagnosis.
Locals are advised to take preacsutuionay measures to avoid the spread of this disease to numerous parts of the country.
